DEPENDENT PASS
A dependent pass is issued to a spouse, parent or guardian of a foreign national who is lawfully allowed to enter for work purposes or other purposes. The validity of the dependent pass is granted at the discretion of the immigration officer and is often tied to the validity of the main applicant’s permit or pass.
Issued to a person whose spouse, parent, or guardian is can lawfully enter Kenya
Valid for up to 2 years
Work is prohibited
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
The following quintessential documents must be submitted interalia with the application –
- Online application
- Evidence of the relationship between the applicant and the dependant i.e. certified copies of marriage certificate or birth certificates, where applicable
- Proof of sufficient means
- A valid copy of the permit for those applicants holding a work permit
